Privacy Policy

Last updated November 4, 2026

Here is what kaylokay collects when you use the app or this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

On this page

The short version

  • We collect what you give us to run your account: your email, your name, and what you post and send.
  • Listings and profiles are public. Messages are private between you and the other person.
  • We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
  • You can delete your account in the app at any time.

1. Who we are

This policy explains what information kaylokay (“we,” “us”) collects through the kaylokay app and this website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. “Information” here means information about you or that you give us. You can reach us at support@kaylokay.com.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Account. Your email address and a password. We store the password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it. We also record when you accepted the terms.
  • Profile. Your first name and the first letter of your last name, and, if you choose, your city and a short bio. If you ask to be a verified driver, a short description of your vehicle.
  • Phone number (optional). It stays private unless you turn on “Show phone number.”
  • Listings and photos. The title, description, category, price and general location you write, and the photos you add. Before saving a photo we remove hidden data from it, such as the GPS spot where it was taken.
  • Messages. What you send in conversations with other people.
  • Ratings and comments you leave for others.
  • Reports, blocks and support. Reports you file, people you block, and emails you send to us.

What we get from using the app

  • Sign-in and activity records. A sign-in token on your phone, when you last used the app, and counts that help us keep the community safe (such as warnings on an account).
  • Server logs. Our server keeps a log of what was requested, when, whether it worked, and your account number. The log does not include your password or the text of your messages, and we do not store your IP address in it.
  • IP address. We use it briefly, in memory, to stop abuse such as many sign-ups from one connection. Our hosting provider and network may also see it as part of delivering the service.

What we ask your phone for

  • Camera and photo library, only when you tap to add a picture to a listing. We do not use your precise location, contacts or microphone.

3. How we use information

  • To run kaylokay: create your account, show your listings, deliver your messages and ratings.
  • To email you what the Service needs, such as a password-reset link.
  • To keep people safe: review reports, remove content, and warn, limit or suspend accounts that break the rules.
  • To prevent abuse, fraud and misuse, and to fix problems.
  • To follow the law and respond to valid legal requests.

We do not send marketing email, and we do not use your information to show ads.

4. Who can see what

  • Everyone, including people without an account: your listings and their photos, and your public profile (name, city, bio, rating, and your phone number only if you chose to show it).
  • The person you are talking to: your messages in that conversation.
  • Our team: a small group of staff can see accounts, listings and reports to do their work. Staff cannot browse private conversations. If you report a message or a deal, the last few messages of that conversation are copied into the report so we can review it.
  • Nobody else: your email address and password are never shown to other users.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that run kaylokay for us. Render (hosting: our server, database and photos, in the United States), Cloudflare (our domain name, this website, and forwarding of emails sent to our support address), Resend (sending the emails the app sends), and Google’s Gmail (where our support mail arrives). They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • The app stores. If you download the app from Apple or Google, they handle that under their own privacy policies.
  • Authorities and others, when required or needed for safety. We may share information to follow the law or a valid legal request, to protect someone from serious harm, or to protect our rights and the Service.
  • A new owner. If kaylokay is sold or reorganized, your information may go to the new owner, who must honor this policy.

6. How long we keep it

  • Your account and listings: until you delete them or your account. Listings stop appearing publicly when they expire (after 30 days for Quick Cash, 90 days for everything else) and stay in your account until you delete them.
  • Conversations: both people keep their side. If you delete your account, the other person keeps theirs, with your name shown as “Deleted user.”
  • Reports and safety records: we keep these for as long as we need them to keep the community safe and meet legal duties.
  • Server logs: a limited time.
  • Backups: copies we make for disaster recovery can hold older information until newer backups replace them.

When you delete your account, we erase your listings, photos, contact details, notifications and the ratings about you, and sign you out everywhere.

7. Your choices

  • Change your name, city, bio and phone number in the app, and choose whether your phone number is public.
  • Edit or delete any listing at any time.
  • Block people, and report content.
  • Allow or refuse camera and photo access in your phone’s settings.
  • Delete your account.

8. Your privacy rights

Whether or not your state has a privacy law, you can ask us to: tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy; correct it; or delete it. Email support@kaylokay.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We will confirm that the request comes from the email address on the account, and reply within 45 days. If you disagree with our answer, tell us and we will review it again. You can use an authorized agent to ask for you, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not use cookies or trackers for advertising, and so there is nothing to opt out of.

9. Children

kaylokay is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has made an account, email us and we will delete it.

10. Keeping information safe

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as hashes, limit repeated sign-in attempts, and give staff only the access their job needs, with a record of what they do. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password that you do not use anywhere else.

11. This website

This website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics, and its fonts are served from our own site. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives your IP address and the page you ask for in order to deliver it.

12. Where information is kept

kaylokay is run in the United States, and your information is stored on servers in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you understand your information will be handled there.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
